About me

I hate “about me” pages. Truly despise them. Any therapist worth their weight in tissue will probably tell you it’s because I don’t really know who I am, or maybe the idea of pitching myself makes my skin crawl because I don’t think I’m worth it and that’s probably my parents’ fault. Even if it isn’t my parents’ fault, I’ll still blame them while, in the same breath, defend their actions. I’m a complicated creature, and by that I mean I’m a writer.

I don’t like “about me” pages because they are supposed to be succinct, and brevity almost never lends itself to nuance.

So that’s enough about me.

About the newsletter

This is a monthly newsletter about what’s been on my mind and why I’ve been writing what I’ve been writing lately.

It will probably include some form of creative prompt (feel free to use it if you are a writer, a poet, or any form of artist). It will definitely include a round-about story connecting some banal event in my life to a pseudo-philosophical idea I’ve been contemplating.

Sounds great right?
